10 Events That Will Look Great on Your Instagram

When producing events, greater emphasis is often placed on the overall appearance of the event than on its content. While we sometimes disagree with that approach, there are events whose visual design simply captivates attendees, and that is their primary objective. The correct setting helps people feel comfortable, which in turn awakens emotions they will remember long after the event.

Below, we present a list of "Instagram-worthy" events that will enchant even the most discerning critics.

Awaken the child within

What better way to celebrate that milestone birthday many dread than by returning to childhood? An event filled with balloons, the foods you loved as a child that instantly transport you back to carefree days when the only decision was which ice cream flavour someone would buy you, confetti, and adult versions of your favourite toys—there really are no limits.

The diet starts on Monday.

We turned one of the most familiar sayings—"diet starts tomorrow"—into a themed party. Everyone knows the routine: the diet starts tomorrow, so tonight is for living. This type of event gives guests one final indulgence before they embark on a strict regimen; cocktails, doughnuts, sweets, fries and richly flavoured meats are some of the menu items you might include.

Under the sea

Events themed around above- and below-the-sea decorations flood Instagram each summer. Bubbles, shades of blue, stripes, coral and hints of green are natural allies. If you plan a more formal, elegant gathering, keep the palette but add marine imagery or decorative installations you would only find beneath the waves—you'll win over even those who consider such themes overused.

Bubbles and bow ties

Another theme associated with the Great Gatsby aesthetic, but presented tastefully, it won't elicit eye rolls. Champagne flutes, bubbles, a refined black-and-white palette accented with gold tones, evening gowns, and black suits with bow ties are all you need.

Garden party

A perennial favourite that can be hosted across three seasons. Warm tones, long strings of lights, cocktails, light blankets for spring and autumn evenings, close company, and long tables laden with food and drink—styled with thoughtful, noticeable but not overbearing details—always succeed.

Picnic

Similar to the garden party, but allowing more creative staging. You don't have to rely on traditional tables or blankets—think green. Repurposed pallets that become tables and benches, small floor cushions, and a relaxed atmosphere are what make picnics beloved events.

Ice cream day

It's time for ice cream. During the heat of summer, what we most look forward to is at least one scoop. Homemade ice cream, pastel colours, cocktails with plenty of ice, a DIY ice cream station and an unlimited selection of toppings will bring a big smile to every fan of this seasonal treat.

Alice in Wonderland

One of our favourites on this list. Ideas and possibilities are limitless: tea parties, face painting, food and drinks labelled "Eat me" and "Drink me", card-themed decorations, vibrant colours, oversized props or delicate miniatures—the only limit is imagination when planning the decor.

Masquerade event

Another theme that can induce eye-rolling if it's not executed thoughtfully or feels clichéd. Surprise your guests with unexpected programming and deliver a masked experience they couldn't have anticipated even in their wildest dreams.

Christmas party

After these largely summer-oriented concepts comes our favourite of all—the Christmas event. So many choices, decorations and ideas: trees, ornaments, gingerbread houses, nutcrackers, snow, elves, lights... It's hard to know where to begin. This type of event will undoubtedly make your Instagram followers wish they were invited every year.
